The Studio

A New Chapter in Surrey

​

After a decade heading up the imagery in-house at Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter, I am thrilled to announce the opening of my own specialist space, Alexander Darlington Studio.

​

Located within the historic Soper Hall in Caterham, the studio is a dedicated technical lab designed specifically for the unique requirements of high-end horology and jewellery photography.

 

The Technical Hand

​

Fine watches and jewellery demand more than just a lens; they require a deep understanding of light-shaping, high-magnification macro work, and the management of complex, reflective surfaces.

From April 2024, our new Surrey base will be fully equipped to provide:

• Specialist Macro Photography: Capturing the microscopic details that define luxury craftsmanship.

• Creative Campaign Production: A focused environment for independent brands and luxury houses to build hero-quality visual assets.

• Post-Production & Retouching: Ensuring the technical precision of the shoot is carried through to the final, polished frame.

We are currently in the final stages of preparing the space. While the lights are being calibrated and the sets built, I am now accepting bookings and collaborative 'creative test' enquiries for April onwards.
