Creative Photography Direction & Technical Oversight

The Brief

Overseeing the visual identity for The Vault, NET-A-PORTER’s most exclusive, invite only jewellery destination. The collection features one of a kind, high value pieces that require a level of precision and security beyond standard e-commerce.

The Strategy

My role was to move beyond the lens and architect a scalable "Hard Luxury" aesthetic. This involved:

  • Lighting Architecture: Designing bespoke technical blueprints to sculpt"precious metals and maximize the wow factor in every rare gemstones.

  • Standardized Drama: Creating a visual language that feels moody and editorial but remains consistent across hundreds of unique assets.

  • Operational Excellence: Building the lighting rigs and style guides that allowed my team to execute at a world-class standard, ensuring every piece, from a Glenn Spiro timepiece to bespoke Piaget jewellery, was treated with the same level of luxury purity.

 

The Result

A high-speed, high fidelity production workflow that maintained a "Bond Street Boutique" feel at a global e-commerce scale.
